On the way home, I was very surprised that I could not smell my food at all. order of hot and sour soup, and an order of the pork in hot garlic sauce. Tonight was the first time going back since their remodel but I had my normal expectations of good Chinese food. We have eaten there many times and their food was ALWAYS very good. I used to go there before the remodel and the food was very good. but the effort put into the food was nearly insulting in relation to the high prices on the menu.īefore I start my review, which is for the food only, let me just say that the young man that waited on me was very pleasant and polite, and that was the best part of my experience tonight. and no one wants to see a big Cajun dude cry in public. because I would have had to cry at the table. It's a good thing I didn't order their $23 bowl of "cajun" gumbo. I would recommend just skipping this place. given the incredibly high prices of the low-grade, pre-processed food. but the other half, to include the dang hostess, were troglodytes that didn't talk or interact. buying bulk processed food and just serving it from a buffet table in the kitchen. I joked that the food seemed like they were either just microwaving frozen food from the store. Apparently, bottled maraschino cherries are in season. one maraschino cherry on top of the whipped cream. which was more like three different flavors of something from a box. My kids ordered the tri-Crème Brûlée with "seasonal fruit". but the straight-from-the-bottle maraschino cherries threw me for a loop. which looked lovely in terms of presentation. There was just a weird consistency to the chicken too. which looked and tasted like someone just microwaved a frozen P.F. and.it came out warmishly room temperature. I don't think I could intentionally make chicken as flavorless as they do. and the huge chunks of barely chopped onions. It had zero flavor (except for the over use of concentrated coconut milk). which gave everything that "buffet food" taste and texture. ![]() It was more of a fusion hodgepodge, but that would have been fine if the food was good quality.Įverything was either from a can, a bottle, or a box. Asian, Mediterranean, Australasian, Cajun-Creole. This place is definitely confusing in terms of its veritable menu. my second mistake was driving 45-minutes to check it out. My first mistake was believing the Open Table App. Ok, I read that this place was "top notch" so I had to try it. Underwhelming, overpriced, pre-processed, buffet-grade food. ![]()
